Dear Families and Staff of Douglas Harkness School,

I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for the incredible journey we've shared together since I began at Douglas Harkness School three and a half years ago. 

It is with mixed emotions that I announce that at the end of June I will be moving to a new role within the Calgary Board of Education. I have accepted a new position as Principal of Cranston School beginning in August. Serving as your Principal at Douglas Harkness has been an absolute honor and privilege. Together, with the unwavering dedication of our staff, generosity of our families, and determination of our amazing students, we have built a vibrant learning community that I am so proud to have been a part of. 

To the families…thank you for sharing your greatest blessing(s) with me. Your children are strong, resilient, compassionate and kind. To the staff…thank you for joining me on this journey and for your unwavering commitment to the success of each and every child you serve. And to the students….you are a gift. You are everything this world needs and more! Harkness has heart because of you! Your energy, laughter, high fives and hugs in the hallways and our quiet moments over card games and stories shared in my office, have left a mark on my heart that I am deeply grateful for.
