 Principal’s Message|

“Nature’s Therapy – A breath of fresh air.”

Spending time outside is good for our bodies and our minds. Fresh air and movement can help us feel more awake, improve our mood, reduce stress, and help us feel ready to learn. Even a short walk outside can be a positive way to begin the day.

Wednesday, October 7, is Walk to School Day! We encourage students and families who are able to walk to school together. Walking gives children a chance to move their bodies, enjoy the fresh air, notice their community, and connect with family and friends before the school day begins.

We know that walking all the way to school is not possible for every family—and that is okay! If you normally drive, consider parking a few blocks away and walking the rest of the way together. Even a short walk adds movement and fresh air to your morning.

Walking part of the way can also help reduce the number of vehicles close to the school, making the area around our school safer and less busy during morning drop-off.

As the weather begins to cool, we encourage families to keep enjoying time outside. Dress for the weather, take a short walk, breathe in the fresh air, and notice what is changing around you.

Let’s get outside, get moving, and walk!

Noon Supervision Registration|

Noon Supervision – All students who stay for lunch at school need to register for noon supervision. Please log into your MyCBE account online and register for noon supervision. The fee for this service will be added to your account in October. You can pay monthly if you would like. No child is ever denied access to an education in the CBE because of an inability to pay fees. Fee waiver applications can be filled out through your MyCBE/PowerSchool Account.

Picture Day is coming! School Picture Day will take place on October 26. Come dressed to impress!
