Principal’s Message|

“Refine: /rəˈfīn/ : to make something better by making small changes.”

Last week, our staff spent time reconnecting, reflecting, and refocusing our shared commitment to your children. With this new clarity, we are now ready to make small but important improvements to our plans so we can better support every student’s learning. We look forward to improving our work, our timelines, and our routines in the coming weeks.

We are thankful for the strong partnership we have with you. As we continue this important work, we feel hopeful and excited for what is ahead of us.

We look forward to seeing you at Parent–Teacher Conferences on November 27 and 28. This will be a time to celebrate progress, talk about goals, and continue supporting your child together.

Thank you for your ongoing trust and collaboration.

Happenings|

Kindergarten students enjoyed letter centers and Taste it Tuesday this week.

Staff Parking Lot|

Please be reminded that the staff parking lot must not be used for dropping off or picking up of students. It is unsafe for students to be walking through the parking lot. Staff members enter and exit the parking lot at many times during the day. Please find alternate parking.

Winter Clothes|

Snow and cold weather are coming in the next few weeks. We ask that all students come to school dressed for the weather. Students go outside every day for learning and play, so it is important that they are warm and ready to be outdoors.

Please help your child dress in layers and bring winter clothing such as a warm jacket, mittens, a toque (winter hat), snow pants, and boots.

If your family needs winter clothing, the school can help. We have warm clothing available. Please fill out this form - Community Closet: Winter clothing request – Fill out form

School Conferences|

Our first school conferences will be on November 27 and 28, 2025. At the conference, teachers will talk with you about your child’s learning and their next steps.

We encourage parents to bring their children to the conference. This helps students talk about their learning and understand their goals.

You can book your conference starting on Thursday, November 20 at 8:00am. Please log in to your MyCBE/Powerschool account. After you sign in, click “MyCBE” and then “My School Conferences” to choose a time.
