Principal’s Message|

"Transitions are a time for reflection, and a time for looking forward."
- Roy Cooper

As the days get shorter and darker, we know this time of year can feel like a big change for many families. The darker mornings and evenings can make routines feel different, and some children may feel more tired or need extra support during this transition.

At school, we continue to help students feel safe, comfortable, and ready to learn. We talk about how changes—like the weather and daylight—are a normal part of the year. We encourage students to share their feelings and practice healthy routines, such as getting enough sleep, eating well, and spending time outdoors when possible.

You can support your child at home by keeping routines consistent, talking about the changes you notice, and helping them feel prepared each day. If your family needs help during this time, or if you have questions, please reach out to us. We are here to support you.

Together, we can help all students feel confident during this time of transition.

Winter Clothes|

Snow and cold weather are coming in the next few weeks. We ask that all students come to school dressed for the weather. Students go outside every day for learning and play, so it is important that they are warm and ready to be outdoors.

Please help your child dress in layers and bring winter clothing such as a warm jacket, mittens, a toque (winter hat), snow pants, and boots.

If your family needs winter clothing, the school can help. We have warm clothing available. Please fill out this form - Community Closet: Winter clothing request – Fill out form

School Conferences|

Our first school conferences will be on November 27 and 28, 2025. At the conference, teachers will talk with you about your child’s learning and their next steps.

We encourage parents to bring their children to the conference. This helps students talk about their learning and understand their goals.

You can book your conference starting on Thursday, November 20 at 8:00am. Please log in to your MyCBE/Powerschool account. After you sign in, click “MyCBE” and then “My School Conferences” to choose a time.

School Council/Parent Society Notes|

Our next school council/parent society meeting will take place on Thursday, November 20 at 6:00pm in the Learning Commons. You can find the agenda for the meeting under the Get Involved tab on the School Website. We look forward to seeing you there!
