Principal’s Message| Small Connections Matter

In the busyness of daily routines, it is often the small moments that make the biggest difference. A smile, a kind word, or a few minutes spent listening can help children feel seen, valued, and supported.

May is recognized as Mental Health Month, and earlier this month schools across Canada marked Mental Health Week. These reminders highlight how important relationships and connection are for well-being. Even simple, everyday interactions can help children feel a sense of belonging and support their overall mental health.

As we move through the final months of the school year, we encourage families to continue nurturing these everyday connections. Whether it’s a conversation at mealtime, time spent together outdoors, or simply checking in at the end of the day, these small moments help children feel safe, cared for, and connected.

Thank you for partnering with us to support not only learning, but the overall well-being of every child.

Warm regards,
Lisa and Jenn

Pineridge Community Rink Upgrades |

Parks Foundation Calgary is continuing their enhancements to the existing Pineridge Outdoor Rink, on behalf of the community association. The scope of work includes resurfacing the rink slab, installing new rink boards, basketball hoops, and integrated nets for summer ball hockey and soccer. This will be a great addition to the community.

Construction access will be via the roadway next to our field space, and the contractors will install temporary construction fencing around the rink. This work is anticipated to take 2-3 months for completion.

We ask parents to please remind their children about not playing near the construction area. Please also be aware of construction traffic in the area. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
