Principal’s Message|

“Nature is the best playground.”

I think most of us could quickly name many benefits of outdoor playtime. Fresh air, movement, creativity, friendship, and fun are just a few that come to mind.

While leaving the school this week, the sun was still shining, and students were out enjoying the weather. It was wonderful to see children running, climbing, laughing, and playing together. Outdoor play supports children in so many ways. It helps build strong bodies, healthy minds, confidence, problem-solving skills, and positive social connections.

While technology and screen time can sometimes support learning and entertainment, balance is important. Children benefit most when they have many opportunities to move, explore, imagine, and connect with others in real life.

The weather has finally started to feel like spring. We encourage families to spend time outdoors whenever possible. Whether you are playing together at the park, going for a walk, or simply watching your children play, these moments help children grow, learn, and thrive in healthy ways.

Warm Regards,

Lisa and Jenn

Pineridge Community Rink Upgrades |

Parks Foundation Calgary will be starting construction this week on enhancements to the existing Pineridge Outdoor Rink, on behalf of the community association. The scope of work includes resurfacing the rink slab, installing new rink boards, basketball hoops, and integrated nets for summer ball hockey and soccer. This will be a great addition to the community.

Construction access will be via the roadway next to our field space, and the contractors will install temporary construction fencing around the rink. This work is anticipated to take 2-3 months for completion.

We ask parents to please remind their children about not playing near the construction area. Please also be aware of construction traffic in the area. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
