Principal’s Message|
“A single crocus blossom ought to be enough to convince our heart that springtime, no matter how predictable, is somehow a gift, gratuitous, gratis, a grace.”
~David Steindl-Rast
The crocus is one of the first flowers we see in spring. It shows us that warmer days are coming soon. These small flowers grow even when the ground is still cold. Sometimes, they grow through snow or frost.
Crocuses add bright colors like purple, yellow, and white to the ground. They help us see that winter is ending. They are a sign of new life. When we see them, we feel hope. We know that spring is coming, with longer and brighter days.
Spring is also a time for students to think about their learning. Like the crocus, small steps can lead to big growth. The challenges students faced have helped them become stronger.
The end of the school year is getting closer. This is a good time for students to use what they have learned. They can try new things and keep growing. Like the crocus, they can bloom and reach their full potential.
We hope you saw this growth during our student-led conferences this past week. We look forward to seeing students continue to learn, create, and explore in the coming months.
During spring break, take some time to look for a Prairie Crocus. It is a special sign that spring has arrived.
Warm regards,
Lisa and Jenn
Reminder: Spring Break |
A reminder to parents that there is no school from March 23-29. We will see all our students back at school on March 30, 2026.
Happenings|
Our Operation Warm Shoe Gifting Event was a wonderful success. We would like to thank Operation Warm and the amazing volunteers from FedEx for their generous donation. We hope your students are enjoying their new shoes!
Parking & Staff Parking Lot|
Recently, there has been an increased number of families using the parking lot to drop off and pick up their children. As a reminder, we kindly ask that parents do not do drop-off or pick-up in the staff parking lot. It can be unsafe as our staff is arriving or leaving the school and cars are actively moving.
Parking is available on 24 Ave. Please be mindful of our neighbours and do not block driveways in the area.
When dropping off your child at school in the morning, they are welcome to come into the building anytime between 8:35 and 8:40 AM. Supervision starts outside at 8:25am.
School Council/Parent Society Notes|
