Principal’s Message|

“My favourite weather is bird chirping weather.”
~ Terri Guillemets

This week, as I arrived at school, I walked slowly and noticed something new. I could hear birds singing. The morning was quiet and calm. The birds made soft, gentle sounds. This is a special part of spring.

Spring mornings can help us feel peaceful. The birds remind us to slow down and take a moment to think. At school, students are also taking time to think and learn. They are growing their ideas step by step.

Students show this in many ways. They may think about a science question, write their ideas, or work carefully on a math problem. These quiet moments help students understand more.

You can support this at home. You might listen to the birds together in the morning. You can also ask your child about what they are learning or thinking about. Small, quiet moments like this help children enjoy learning.

Thank you for your support. We are happy to see our students learning and growing this spring.

Warm regards,

Lisa and Jenn

Support Staff Appreciation Week|

We wanted to take a moment to shine a spotlight on a group of individuals who play a crucial role in our children's education: our incredible support staff.

From our facilities staff who ensure our school environment is clean and safe, to administrative assistants who keep things running smoothly behind the scenes, and educational assistants, early childhood practitioners and Braille assistants who offer invaluable assistance to students with diverse needs, as well as Lunch Supervision staff who support work each day to ensure that our students have a positive lunch experience every day. Each member of our support staff contributes significantly to the success of our school community.

From April 20-24, we will be celebrating Support Staff Appreciation Week. It's an opportunity for us to express our gratitude and recognize the dedication and hard work of these unsung heroes. Their commitment to our children's well-being and educational experience is truly commendable, and they deserve to be celebrated.
